FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo man has admitted to ordering three men in a drug trafficking ring to rob a convenience store.
Fred Thompson pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to a pair of charges, including aiding and abetting a robbery in furtherance of drug trafficking.
Authorities say the 55-year-old Thompson told Steve Gibson, Mason Peet and Roger Butcher to rob a south Fargo Stop-N-Go store on Oct. 26.
The three men had a .22 caliber rifle during the robbery.
Sentencing for Thompson is scheduled for Jan. 8.
He faces up to life in prison.
