Streets and highways are slick out there this morning due compacted snow and ice.

Streets and highways are slick out there this morning due compacted snow and ice.

Travel conditions started deteriorating yesterday afternoon as temperatures fell and snow and slush turned to ice.

That caused numerous accidents in and around the F-M area.

Last night, Cass County deputies were assisting highway patrol troopers along the interstates because of so many accidents, most of them vehicles that slid into the ditches and medians.
