A Clay County deputy who was fired last year for alleged misconduct is getting his job back.
Deputy Ryan Carey was kicked off the force after he returned from a law enforcement canine competition in the Twin Cities. Carey filed an appeal. An arbitrator held a hearing in January.
Clay County Administrator Brian Berg says he can't discuss details of what Carey was accused of because of data privacy laws. Berg confirmed that law enforcement was called to the incident, but no criminal charges were filed.
