A Moorhead man accused of starting a series of dumpster fires has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
Steven Chenoweth pleaded guilty Friday to four counts of third-degree arson. Assistant Clay County Attorney Heidi Davies says Chenoweth admitted lighting about 13 out of a total of 18 fires.
Chenoweth was sentenced to a year in the county jail and a $1,000 fine. He must also pay about $2,100 in restitution.
