West Fargo landlord Al Vetter has lost his appeal on an assault conviction that will send him to prison for two years.

West Fargo landlord Al Vetter has lost his appeal on an assault conviction that will send him to prison for two years. Vetter was convicted was convicted of aggravated assault for running over a former tenant two years ago with his Hummer.
The N.D. Supreme Court upheld a district court jury's decision that Vetter's truck constituted a deadly weapon and that there was enough evidence to convict him.
Vetter contended he used the Hummer in self defense during a confrontation with Brian Hemphill in Feb. 2011.
Vetter has been free on bond pending the appeal.
