Moorhead High School student charged in fatal crash

Charges have been filed against a teenage boy in an August crash that killed a 17-year-old Moorhead High School student from Sabin.

 

 

 

 

Charges have been filed against a teenage boy in an August crash that killed a 17-year-old Moorhead High School student from Sabin.

Clay County Attorney Brian Melton says Kullen Carney, 16, faces two counts of criminal vehicular homicide, reckless driving and speeding.

Austin Wagar died in the crash when a car spun out of control and flipped.

Wagar, Carney and another boy were heading to a birthday party when the crash occured. Alcohol was not involved, but Melton says Carney tested positive for a drug found in marijuana.
