In what would be the most comprehensive effort to tighten gun laws in nearly two decades, President Obama yesterday unveiled his administration's plan to end school violence.
Moorhead Police Chief Dave Ebinger says the president's plan to put more police in schools might be more of a resource drain than the protection they could offer.
Lynne Kovash, Superintendant of Moorhead Public Schools says Obama's recommendation to put more school councilors on campuses will help the mental health of students in districts like hers that have been affected by budget cuts on the state level.
The president is also recommending the CDC research causes of gun violence.
He admits it will be an uphill battle to get congress to back his recommendations.
