The Clay County Sheriff's office has identified the man found dead after fleeing a rollover near Felton early Saturday. Jordan Oppegard, 24, of Mahnomen was found dead the following day.

Sheriff Bill Bergquist says it's believed Oppegard died of hypothermia. His body has been taken to the Twin Cities for an autopsy.

Oppegard was driving the vehicle that rolled. One passenger stayed at the scene, but Oppegard and another passenger took off running in different directions.

Deputies spent several hours searching for them, they also called the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office for assistance. They determined one of the men got a ride, but couldn't find the other man. They picked up the search Sunday afternoon, with the help of the DNR using snowmobiles and ATV's. Oppegard's body was found about four-hours later, about two-miles from the accident scene.

Bergquist is waiting for autopsy results before saying whether alcohol was a factor.
