A sheriff's detective from Arizona has made his first appearance in a Fargo courtroom on charges that he beat up a West Fargo man who had an affair with his wife.
Timothy Abrahamson is with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. The 41 year-old man who was injured, suffered serious cuts and bruises while standing in his driveway last Sept.
Abrahamson is charged with felony aggravated assault. Police say Abrahamson traveled to West Fargo with another deputy to carry out the attack. That officer has been given immunity from prosecution for his cooperation.
Abrahamson is set to appear in court again in Fargo in February.
