A bill designed to protect app and Smartphone users, specifically women and children, from having their location information shared with third parties goes before the senate judiciary committee today.
Minnesota Senator Al Franken is the author of the "Stalking Apps" bill which would make it a requirement.
The bill also proposes to close a loophole allowing stalking applications to secretly run on women's and girls' smartphones.
