Horses Shot In Western North Dakota

Two horses were shot and killed south of Watford City, North Dakota over the weekend.

Two horses were shot and killed south of Watford City, North Dakota over the weekend.

It's believed the shootings took place between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The horses were laying within three feet of each other and one mare was shot eight times while the other was shot in the back of the head.

There were also two colts nearby that were not shot.

The McKenzie County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
