Downtown Fargo businesses are hoping to start a bright, new holiday tradition this year.

The holiday season has kicked off with a lighting of the trees event.

25 trees and 30 lights poles have been decked out in holiday cheer along Broadway with more than 37-thousand L-E-D lights.

It's all part of downtown's "Shine Into The Holidays," which organizers hope will bring in crowds of shoppers this holiday season.
