North Dakota State University offensive guard Tyler Gimmestad was selected Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday, Oct. 8.
Gimmestad, a 6-foot-2, 298-pound junior from Marshall, Minn. (Marshall H.S.), graded out to 96 percent and had eight knockdown blocks in No. 1-ranked North Dakota State's 48-7 win over No. 3 Youngstown State before a record crowd of 19,065 at Gate City Bank Field.
Gimmestad allowed no QB sacks or hurries as the Bison held a 364-211 advantage in total offense including 164 rushing led by running back John Crockett’s 103 yards and two TDs on 25 attempts.
Quarterback Brock Jensen completed 15 of 23 passes for 200 yards and two TDs. NDSU held a 33:12 to 26:48 advantage in time of possession.
