Semi Hits, Kills Biker On Central Minn. Highway

A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a semi on a dark central Minnesota highway.

 

 

 

 

NEW LONDON, Minn. (AP) - A bicyclist was killed after being hit by a semi on a dark central Minnesota highway.

According to the State Patrol, the semi and the bicyclist were both traveling south on Highway 71 at about 4:50 a.m. Tuesday near County Road 34 in Kandiyohi County.

The identity of the bicyclist was not immediately released.

The semi driver was identified as a 50-year-old man from Belgrade.
