ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Family members and friends say two men shot to death in St. Paul had played basketball together at Patrick Henry High School in north Minneapolis.

A St. Paul police spokesman says the two were shot about a mile apart.

Police say both deaths appear to be random, and no suspects are being sought.

No one has been arrested.

The victims are as Mandela Jackson and Jordan Hughes.

Hughes was found shot late Tuesday and died at Regions Hospital.

Jackson was found shot shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Jackson averaged about 21 points per game as a senior in the 2007 to 2008 season and led his team to the Class 3A State Tournament.

Jackson's brother, Jibreel Jackson, says family members have no clue about what led to the shootings.
