FARGO, N.D. (AP) - State, federal and military officials have honored members of the North Dakota Air National Guard's 119th Wing for their service.
The first Hometown Heroes event was held in 2010 to honor those who had served in the first eight years after the September 11th, 2001, terror attacks.
The ceremony held Sunday in Fargo recognized those who served more than 30 consecutive days of active duty between January 1st, 2009, and December 31st, 2010.
Governor Jack Dalrymple, Senator John Hoeven, Representative Rick Berg, Major General David Sprynczynatyk, and others took part in the ceremony that recognized about 250 airmen and their families.
