Hells Angels To Hold Annual Event In Spearfish

The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club is holding what amounts to its annual convention in Spearfish later this month.

 

 

 

 

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club is holding what amounts to its annual convention in Spearfish later this month.

Spearfish Police Lt. Curt Jacobs says the annual USA Run will be held July 25-29 in the city on the northern edge of South Dakota's Black Hills.

Jacobs says officials have met with Hells Angels representatives to discuss the event. He says more than 1,000 people are expected to attend, including 400 to 600 club members.

Jacobs says law enforcement agencies in the area will beef up their numbers during the event just as they do for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which draws a much bigger crowd in August every year.

He says as long as people attending the event follow the rules, there should be no problems.
