ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Police say a 170-pound mastiff dog that clamped down on the head of a toddler in St. Paul had previously injured a child at the same home.
Sgt. Paul Paulos says an 18-month-old girl was with her grandmother in the home Thursday night when the dog attacked. She was taken to Regions Hospital. Her condition is not known.
Paulos said the dog named Blue injured another child in the home last January.
The mastiff dog was taken by animal control officers. Family members asked that the dog be put down.
