A Bemidji, MN man who admitted that he placed a burning cross in the front yard of a home in Bemidji has been released from jail.
Derek Barnes, 20, pleaded guilty and served 169 days in jail. His probation conditions include no drinking and random drug testing.
The judge warned Barnes that he'll be on an extremely short leash. Barnes and another man were charged after the cross was set on fire on Memorial Day weekend.
