BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The U.S. Forest Service says fireworks are prohibited on national grasslands and forests.
The agency says the ban is in place all year, and not just on the Fourth of July.
The agency says violators could face up to six months in prison and a $5,000 fine for using fireworks in banned areas.
