Commission Approves Permit On N.D. Diesel Refinery

The Stark County Commission has approved a permit for a proposed $325 million diesel refinery near Dickinson.

 

 

 

 

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - The Stark County Commission has approved a permit for a proposed $325 million diesel refinery near Dickinson.

The commission approved the request to rezone 274 acres of land between Dickinson and South Heart from agricultural to industrial for the refinery's construction.

A subsidiary of Bismarck-based MDU Resources Group Incorporated is planning the refinery that could be completed in 2014.

Officials have said that it will produce up to 10,000 barrels of diesel per day.
