Abortions In Minn. Drop For Fifth Straight Year

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting a 3.7 percent decrease in abortions in 2011.

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting a 3.7 percent decrease in abortions in 2011.


It was the fifth straight year abortion numbers have dropped in the state.


The annual report shows 11,071 abortions were performed in Minnesota last year, 434 fewer than 2010 and the lowest total since 1975.
