(AP) - The state Department of Mineral Resources says North Dakota oil drillers produced a record 20.8 million barrels of oil in July.

That's up more than 7.5 million barrels for the same month a year ago.

The agency says oil producers pumped an average of about 674,000 barrels each day in July. That's up from about 660,000 barrels daily in June.

There were 7,467 producing wells in July, up from 7,352 in June.
