BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ordered a Minnesota woman to stop doing business in North Dakota.
Stenehjem on Thursday issued a cease and desist order against Stacy Dahl and Helping Hands, Inc. of Winger, Minn., for violating the state's consumer fraud, charitable solicitation and games of chance laws.
The attorney general says his office has received complaints that Dahl has been soliciting donations for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Stenehjem says she does not have an agreement with St. Jude's and is not registered in North Dakota to raise money.
Dahl is also accused of selling non-existing trips for baseball games, concerts and casinos.
