SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota woman has pleaded guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson announced that 20-year-old Kenna Young of Parmelee pleaded to the charge during a court appearance Monday.
During the February incident, Young drove drunk and crashed her car, killing one person and injuring another.
Young faces a maximum penalty of eight years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 7.
