JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) - A woman who has been convicted of manslaughter says she sold drugs to the victim.

Twenty-two-year-old Janelle Cave testified during the fifth day of 34-year-old Leron Howard's trial that she sold 18-year-old Abdi Ali Ahmed marijuana. Howard has pleaded not guilty to murder and criminal conspiracy in the April 2011 death of Ahmed, whose body was found in a ditch near Spiritwood.

A jury convicted the 22-year-old Cave on manslaughter and criminal conspiracy charges in February. She is appealing. Her sentenced required her to testify at Howard's trial.

Cave denied Ahmed owed her any money.

The judge in the case earlier said that the case could go to the jury by midweek.
