MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park is hosting a conference to promote trail opportunities across North Dakota.

The first North Dakota Trails Conference is Tuesday and Wednesday.  It's sponsored by the North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department and the state Recreation and Park Association.  Both motorized and non-motorized trails will be discussed.

State Parks Director Mark Zimmerman says the goal is to strengthen recreational trail opportunities for residents and tourists.
