High Temperatures Make Pavement Buckle

FARGO - It was hot enough yesterday to buckle pavement.


Pavement on 12th Avenue North, just off Interstate-29 in Fargo, heaved in the heat.


That section of street will be closed for about a week while repairs are made.


The official high at Hector Airport in Fargo was 97 degrees. A National Weather Service observer in north Moorhead recorded 99 degrees.
