A 21-year-old Grand Forks man will serve four years in prison for a deadly drunk driving crash near Fisher, Minn. last February.
Daniel Johnson learned his fate at an emotional sentencing hearing packed with loved ones of the woman he killed.
Thirty-nine-year old Darcey Jablonski, a nurse at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, was killed in the crash.
Her boyfriend, a paramedic, was one of the first to arrive on-scene.
One sister told Johnson that he not only took one life, but the soul of their family.
Johnson gave a tear-filled apology to the family before receiving his sentence. Johnson was also ordered to pay more than $15,000 in restitution.
