The Army Corps of Engineers will discuss a possible flood protection plan for Valley City during a meeting on Tuesday night.
Project Manager Nanette Bishoff said a variety of flood protection alternatives will be included in the plan.
"What we're doing is a feasibility study for flood protection for the city of Valley City," said Bishoff. "We'll be looking at a variety of different alternatives from levees and flood walls to non-structural alternatives such as flood-proofing and other methods of protecting homes."
The meeting will be held at Valley City High School. The open house begins at 6:30 p.m., with a formal presentation at 7 p.m.
