Fargo Man Sentenced In Montana Stabbing

A North Dakota man was sentenced to four years in a Montana prison for stabbing a man during a fight in Red Lodge last year.

 

 

 

 

RED LODGE, Mont. (AP) - A North Dakota man was sentenced to four years in a Montana prison for stabbing a man during a fight in Red Lodge last year.

District Judge Blair Jones sentenced 28-year-old William Quade to 13 years in prison with nine suspended.

Quade, of Fargo, pleaded guilty to felony aggravated assault after initially being charged with attempted deliberate homicide for the June 22nd, 2011 stabbing of 27-year-old Aaron Edmondson.

Prosecutors say Edmondson met Quade at a Red Lodge bar and invited him to a house party, where a woman accused Quade of stealing money. Quade left, but returned a short time later with a knife and stabbed Edmondson several times. One stab wound punctured his lung.

Quade has remained jailed on $250,000 bail since his arrest.
