FARGO - The only person convicted of murdering Terry Dorff of Fargo in 1991 is in the Cass County Jail awaiting a hearing that could get him another trial.
In December, the North Dakota Supreme Court ruled that Reginald Tweed's defense was ineffective, so he's being granted a post-conviction hearing. It's a chance to prove his lawyers didn't bring all the evidence available to the table. That could lead to a retrial.
Tweed was convicted of murder and sentenced to life. He's been behind bars for 21-years. Another man who was with him was acquitted. Dorff was hog-tied and hit in the head with a rock.
Tweed's hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
