The North Dakota Public Service Commission says it needs more information about the North Dakota segment of the CapX2020 high voltage power line before it decides the route's fate.
State Regulatory Board Chair Brian Kalk says the PSC had expected to make a decision this month.
That's now been pushed off indefinitely.
The 345 kilovolt line would run from a switching station west of Fargo, passing near Hickson on its way to Minnesota where it will follow I-94 to St. Cloud.
Some along the proposed 33-mile route through North Dakota had asked the PSC to alter the route to spare their property.
