FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota State University alumnus has donated $1 million to the NDSU Development Foundation.
The university plans to name the NDSU Alumni Center after Harry McGovern to recognize the gift.
McGovern graduated from high school in the town of Erie in 1962 and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from NDSU four years later. He now owns MCM Construction Inc., a bridge and highway contractor with offices in the California cities of Sacramento and Los Angeles.
