A rural Barnesville woman has been found guilty of setting a string of fires on her family's farm in October. A Clay County jury convicted Tara Andvik on three counts of felony arson. Prosecutor Heidi Davies says arson cases can be difficult to prove because the evidence is often circumstantial.
Andvik's attorney Steve Mottinger says his client is "obviously disappointed.” Judge Michael Kirk ordered a pre-sentence investigation and mental health evaluation for Andvik. Sentencing has been set for June 28th.
