Daycare Child Molester Pleads Guilty

Prosecutors have reached a plea agreement with a Moorhead man who molested two young girls at his wife's daycare.

Prosecutors have reached a plea agreement with a Moorhead man who molested two young girls at his wife's daycare.


Jon Pabody changed his plea to guilty in exchange for a recommended prison term of 160 months.


"Amanda" is the mother of one of Pabody's victims.


"It's closing, so it's good, but I have to pay for him to be in prison," said Amanda. "I'm going to pay for him the rest of my life no matter what. It's not comforting."

Assistant Clay County Attorney Pam Harris said Pabody will likely be civilly committed after he completes his prison term.


Pabody will be sentenced in August.
