Man Indicted In Child Murders

A St. Michael, N.D. man has been charged with the murders of two children on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation more than a year ago.

A St. Michael, N.D. man has been charged with the murders of two children on the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation more than a year ago.

Nineteen-year-old Valentino Bagola has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of first-degree murder.

The just unsealed indictment says Destiny Shaw, 9, and Travis Dubois, 6, junior were hit and stabbed numerous times in May of last year. It says Bagola murdered the children while attempting sexual abuse and child abuse.

The FBI and Bureau of Indian Affairs have led the investigation.
