Fargo Woman Charged With Child Abuse

A Fargo woman has been charged with child abuse or neglect for exposing her daughter to methamphetamine.

 

 

 

 

FARGO - A Fargo woman has been charged with child abuse or neglect for exposing her daughter to methamphetamine.

Amber Helps, 19, is accused of using the drug around the one year-old, who is now in protective custody.

The charge follows a police investigation, which uncovered poor living conditions in the apartment Helps was renting. Full garbage bags and rotting food were found in the kitchen. A social worker also discovered that wiring from the furnace was exposed.
