FARGO - A veterans group in Fargo is taking issue with calls to lower the flag in light of last week’s tragic shooting in Aurora, Colo.

Comdr. Terry Richardson of the United Patriotic Bodies says as terrible as the theatre massacre was it does not necessarily fit the bill of lowering the U.S. flag.

Two members of the U.S. Armed forces died in the shooting rampage.

Richardson says that may somewhat justify the action but lowering the flag is happening all too often and for the wrong reasons.

Flags will remain at half-staff through today.
