Creative Care for Reaching Independence, or CCRI, held a special prom at the Dilworth Community Center last night.
The agency provides services to people with disabilities. Pam Grugel was among those who attended said there was a great turnout.
The F-M Area Foundation gave CCRI a grant to purchase white shirts and ties and to help with dresses for the ladies.
CCRI Executive Director Shannon Bock says, “You can’t help but have a smile on your face when you’re standing back, watching all the folks dancing.”
More than 130 people attended the 2nd annual event, which included dinner, a Vegas themed dance and photo station.
A prom king and queen were also named later that night.
