Two people have come forward with information about the Fourth of July hit-and-run boat crash on Big Cormorant Lake that left a West Fargo man seriously injured.

Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon says it's the best information so far that may lead to the suspects. Gordon tells KFGO News that people witnessed a boat matching the one given out earlier speed across the lake and then leave.

Sheriff Gordon says he believes the boat's operator was familiar with the lake because of the speed at which he drove the boat. It was dark and he was able to avoid rock bars in the lake.

Thirty-nine-year-old Terry Erickson, his wife; two young children and a family friend were in the boat when it was hit. Erickson suffered a number of broken bones and is now recovering at home.
