The North Dakota Highway Patrol has charged two men injured when their motorcycles crashed in northeast North Dakota late Wednesday night with driving under the influence.
Joseph Miranda, 33, and Joshua Megorden, 28, both of Grand Forks, were driving on Highway 81 near Ardoch. Miranda accelerated to catch up to Megorden, but rear-ended his cycle, causing both drivers to lose control and they were tossed off their motorcycles. Neither was wearing a helmet.
Both Miranda and Megorden were in satisfactory condition at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
Megorden was also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
