N.D. Sees Taxable Sales Growth Throughout State

North Dakota Tax Commissioner Cory Fong said even though the oil patch saw tremendous growth in taxable sales last year, many cities across the rest of the state showed growth as well.

North Dakota Tax Commissioner Cory Fong said even though the oil patch saw tremendous growth in taxable sales last year, many cities across the rest of the state showed growth as well.

Fong said there is no doubt the oil patch saw "off the charts" growth.

"The little town of Ray was over 600 percent for the year, which is significant, but we would expect that given what's going out in the western communities in the oil patch," said Fong.

Fong said 162 of North Dakota’s 200 cities showed taxable sales growth.
