Former Fargo VA Nurse Accused Of Illegally Taking Meds

A former nurse at the Fargo VA Medical Center has been charged with illegally obtaining prescription drugs.

 

 

 

 

A former nurse at the Fargo VA Medical Center has been charged with illegally obtaining prescription drugs.

A criminal complaint says Jessica Jo Stevens obtained various narcotics while she worked at the VA between April and December in 2011. Assistant U.S. Attorney Brett Shasky said when VA patients declined to take the drugs, Stevens kept them for herself.

Stevens is charged with acquisition of a controlled substance by fraud and health care fraud. She has been released on her own recognizance while awaiting trial.
