Laney Receives National Sheriff Of The Year Award

Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney was officially recognized as Sheriff of the Year during a ceremony in Nashville on Sunday night.

 

 

 

 

Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney was officially recognized as Sheriff of the Year during a ceremony in Nashville on Sunday night.

Nearly 50 co-workers, family members, friends and supporters traveled to Nashville for the ceremony.

During his acceptance speech, Laney credited the support and hard work of his family, friends, staff and others who molded him into the leader he has grown to be.

Laney is the 18th recipient of the nationwide award.

The award will be on display at the Sheriff's Office when he returns on June 25.
