Update: Man Arrested In Felony Traffic Stop Near Valley City

There was a felony traffic stop on Interstate 94 near Valley City early this morning. Cass and Barnes County Deputies, with weapons drawn, made the stop around 3:30 a.m.

 

 

 

 

There was a felony traffic stop on Interstate 94 near Valley City early this morning. Cass and Barnes County Deputies, with weapons drawn, made the stop around 3:30 a.m.

The man arrested was wanted in Hutchinson, Minn. for 2nd degree assault with a dangerous weapon.

Hutchinson Police Chief Dan Hatton tells KFGO News the man was involved in an incident just after midnight, in which he fired multiple shots into the ground and air from a .45 caliber pistol and semi-automatic handgun during a dispute with another person and then took off.

Authorities along the I-94 corridor were asked to be on the lookout for the man's vehicle.

Cass County Deputies spotted his vehicle and followed it until they were able to get assistance from Barnes County to make the stop.
