The merger of Sanford Health and Med Center One means Sanford is getting something it hasn’t had for decades, a nursing school.
Sanford CEO Kelby Krabbenhoft says the Sanford system has a history with nursing schools which ended in the late 1960’s, but is reborn with this merger.
Krabbenhoft goes on to say the other two schools were closed - when colleges and universities started offering nursing programs.
