City Of Fargo Approves New Panhandling Ordinance

After some delay, Fargo City Commissioners have unanimously approved an expanded panhandling ordinance.

FARGO - After some delay, Fargo City Commissioners have unanimously approved an expanded panhandling ordinance.


Previously, it was prohibited only in Fargo’s downtown area, but now it will be unlawful to panhandle in any area within the city of Fargo.


The ordinance prohibits panhandlers to be within 20 feet of any intersection and any crosswalk; along roadways or medians that separate traffic; and within 20 feet of any school, playground or public restroom.
