Fargo Mayor Endorses City Commission Challenger

In a rare move at Fargo City Hall, Mayor Dennis Walaker has endorsed Melissa Sobolik in Tuesday's city commission election.

 

 

 

 

In a rare move at Fargo City Hall, Mayor Dennis Walaker has endorsed Melissa Sobolik in Tuesday's city commission election.

Walaker made the endorsement on KFGO "News and Views" on Wednesday.

The mayor says Sobolik would bring new and refreshing insight to the commission.

Sobolik is making her second run for the commission on Tuesday's ballot. She is one of the challengers to incumbents Dave Piepkorn and Mike Williams. Williams, who has not always agreed with Walaker on several issues, says he is not surprised with the mayor's endorsement of Sobolik.
