SURREY, N.D. (AP) - Two young boys were taken to a Minot hospital after falling through an open second-story window at a home in Surrey.
Ward County Sheriff's Sgt. Larry Hubbard says the 4- and 5-year-old boys suffered injuries on Wednesday afternoon that were not life-threatening. He did not disclose their injuries or their identities.
Hubbard says the boys' mother operates a day care out of the home, and more than a dozen children were there at the time. He says authorities are still gathering information on what happened.
Hubbard says it's unknown if any charges might result from the incident. He says the results of the investigation eventually will be turned over to county prosecutors for review.
The day care was closed Thursday but Hubbard did not know the circumstances of the closure.
